A pink 24 inch step-through cruiser with a rattan basket — the XJD bike for a teen, or for the parent who walked behind the balance bike.

On the driveway

The low step-through steel frame makes getting on in a skirt or with shopping easy. A 7-speed Shimano derailleur covers flat streets and gentle hills, and the cream anti-slip tyres are puncture-resistant and quiet on pavement and light gravel.

Out of the carton

The hand-woven rattan basket sits up front and a sturdy rack sits behind. It arrives 85 percent built, with tools and instructions; plan around twenty-five minutes. A purple version is listed as the alternative colour.

Where it sits beside the XJD balance bike

The parent who walked beside the XJD balance bike can ride this beside the pedal bike. The seat feels comfortable, the step-through design is safe to mount, the tyres are smooth and non-slip. Installation is short with the tools in the box. A sturdy gift for a teen or an adult.
