The months when a grown-up still does the steering. The push handle stays on until the feet find the pedals by themselves, and the helmet goes on before anything rolls off the porch.

5 ★ Great way to learn how to ride a bike for toddlers
This bike is fantastic for my toddlers who are just learning to ride! The training wheels are sturdy and are great to learn balancing. It was easy to assemble. I feel that this is a fun and reliable bike tha can help learning to ride in both a safe and exciting way!
5 ★ Fits a short adult
This bike was easy for me to put together. I'm 62" tall and it fit me great. I was able to ride on gravel at summer camp with no issues. Great on the road. I love the bell and basket.
5 ★ So thankful
This helmet literally saved my kid from a serious head injury. So glad we purchased and we already purchased a new one after the bike accident. Super durable, comfortable for long rides, breathable mesh material, and most importantly safe and fits a toddler well. 10/10 recommend
5 ★ Great!
Looks adorable. I bought for my 7 months the XS and if fits well (She is on the 90% percentile though, but still...) I guess it's pretty strong (Hope I don't have to put it to test) The adjustability is weird. The straps are on a weird place, but maybe it's because she is still a baby...
4 ★ Does not fit any training wheels as frame has inverted frame bolts.
I don't think there is a training wheel on the market that could work with this bike. They are inverted and I had to make some adjustments and it just looks bad. Almost as if it's going to cave in. But my kid likes the bike at least. Hopefully I can take the training wheels off soon.
5 ★ So cute and fun for 1 year olds
Whaat a great buy! Looks so cute and is so much fun. My son is 16 months and this is his castle! He learned how to slide on these and he’s a pro now after two times playing with it! It comes with a little basket ball for the hoop! Get it!
Children do not outgrow a bike on their birthday; they outgrow it at the inseam. That is why every step on this page carries a height as well as an age. An XJD toddler bike with a push handle covers the first year on wheels, when the child sits and a parent steers. A toddler tricycle with pedals takes over once the legs can turn a crank, and its two-position saddle fits an inside leg of roughly twelve to twenty inches.
The first real kids bike arrives at about three. A 12 inch wheel suits a child of 32 to 41 inches, a 14 inch wheel carries on to about 47, and both ship with training wheels, a coaster brake and a chain guard. Sixteen inches follows at four to nine, which is usually the season the training wheels come off for good. By eight a 20 inch frame fits a rider of 50 to 61 inches, whether that is a girls bike with a basket, a freestyle BMX bike or a mountain bike with 21 speeds.
A kids bike helmet is sized by head, not by age: measure around the forehead an inch above the brow and match the number to the shell. Our smallest shell starts at twelve months; the set with knee, elbow and wrist pads runs to fourteen years. For the days when riding is off, the toddler slide sets fold in a playroom, and the slide and swing sets take the same frames into the yard.
Battery ride-on toys sit beside the bikes rather than instead of them. The wiggle car suits a three year old on a flat driveway; the 12V go-kart with pedals is listed for 37 to 96 months, and both come with lights on the wheels.
