Rules of the driveway

Short, numbered, and written to be read once. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the law where you live.

1. What this site is

   A catalogue of what XJD sells in the United States, with the current price and stock of each model and each colour under it. Nothing is sold from these pages and no payment is taken here.

2. Prices

   Read from the live listing at the last rebuild and shown in US dollars. A price can change between that rebuild and your click, and the listing is always the one that counts. Crossed-out prices are not shown here at all, because a comparison we cannot verify is worse than no comparison.

3. Stock

   Also read at the rebuild. In stock, low, due back and sold out are the four states we show, and a sold-out model keeps its page so you can see what it was.

4. Specifications

   Dimensions, weights, age ranges and materials are the manufacturer figures for that model, rounded the way they are published. Where we add a measurement of our own, such as a saddle range, the page says so.

5. Quoted reviews

   Written by people who bought the model and reproduced with their name as published. We shorten long ones and we do not alter wording. We neither write them nor pay anyone to.

6. Images

   Our own product and brand photography. Colours on a screen are a guide and no more; a moulded blue and a painted blue of the same name are not identical.

7. Orders, delivery and payment

   Handled entirely by the store whose listing you open, through its own order page and its own terms. We cannot see, change or cancel an order.

8. Warranty and spares

   Covered by the model warranty in the carton. Claims and spares go through the store you bought from, and we will send a missing part directly where we have it.

9. Links out

   Every product link opens the listing for that exact model in a new tab. Nothing is injected into the page you came from and nothing follows you back.

10. Your use of the site

    Read it, print it, send a page to a relative. Do not scrape the price feed to resell it, and do not reproduce the photography commercially without writing to us first.

11. Mistakes

    We get things wrong: a measurement typed from the wrong row, a colour name that does not match the mould. Write and we will fix the page, usually the same week.

12. Changes to these rules

    Rewritten rather than amended, with the date in the footer. There is no version history worth keeping.
