The 12 inch pink version of our doll-seat girls bike — a three year old's first pedal bike after the XJD balance bike.
On the driveway
At 12 inches the bike suits the youngest end of the range, roughly three to five. Training wheels are fitted for the first weeks, and the coaster brake works by reversing the pedals, so there is no lever to find in a panic. Wide tyres keep it steady on a cracked pavement.
Out of the carton
The steel frame and fork arrive mostly built; you add the front wheel, seat and stabilisers with the included tools. Stock on this exact size runs low, so if the badge says few left, the 14 inch from the same family is the next fit up.
Three things we would point out

Where it sits beside the XJD balance bike
At 12 inches this is the gentlest step up from an XJD balance bike, with the same low, soft seat height a small rider trusts. It feels safe, rolls smooth on pavement, and the installation of wheels and seat takes one sitting with the tools in the carton. A sturdy gift for a third birthday.
