A lighter five-mode XJD trike for ages one to three that becomes a balance bike when the pedals come off.

On the driveway

Push balance bike, tricycle, balance bike and slide mode: the configuration changes as the child does. The seat slides forward and back for leg length, and the push handle runs across four heights from 28 to 35.4 inches so both parents can steer from a comfortable stance. Serrated handlebars give a small hand something to hold.

Out of the carton

Assembly is tool-free, by snap-and-lock joints, which also means it comes apart again for a car trunk or a closet shelf. The carbon steel frame is finished in non-toxic paint with polished edges. At the price it is the entry point to the XJD line for a first birthday.

Three things we would point out

  • Five configurations across ages 1–3
  • Tool-free snap-together assembly
  • Four-height parent handle, 28–35.4 inches

Great Bike for Young Toddler

5 ★

Good quality throughout. Easy to assemble. Good growth potential. Very sturdy. Nice finish (looks and feels powder coated).

Great bike

4 ★

We love the bike I just wish there were little pegs on the front to where's my daughter could put her feet on so when I'm pushing the bike because I'm needing to go when I'm walking they should we could go but other than that we love it and it's helping her learn how to ride and it's great. It was an easy build it was an easy it's it was just great. What we're walking she just gets tired of writing it and then like I said I just wish there was pegs so I could just push it instead of having to carry it and her or carry it and her walk and that would just make it a lot easier.

Where it sits beside the XJD balance bike

Pedals off, it rides like a small XJD balance bike, with a comfortable seat and smooth wheels that are quiet on a kitchen floor. The modular design clicks together within minutes, no tools needed, and feels sturdy under a baby's weight. It is our most-given first-birthday gift, ahead of any ride-on car.
