On the driveway
The 18 inch size runs a 152 mm forged steel crank with a 32-tooth chainring, geared lower than the 20 inch so a younger rider can spin up to speed. Alloy U-brake, anti-slip levers and a hi-tensile frame that takes landings off a kerb.
Out of the carton
Pre-assembled to 85 percent; the step-by-step video covers the rest in about ten minutes. The seat adjusts, but if the rider is already close to the top of the range, the 20 inch blue is the longer-lasting choice.
