A helmet plus six pads in one carton — our XJD answer for the child who has moved past the balance bike and onto a scooter or skates.
On the driveway
Seven pieces: one kids helmet, two knee pads, two elbow pads, two wrist guards. Size S fits a 20 to 21.3 inch head, roughly ages three to eight; size M runs 21.6 to 22.8 inches for eight to fourteen. Measure above the eyebrows before choosing — that tape number matters more than the age on the box.
Out of the carton
The pads carry hard PP/PE caps over soft cushioning with breathable polyester sleeves, and the straps close with long hook-and-loop tails so they stay on a thin arm. The helmet is ABS over high-density EPS with adjustable straps. Everything goes on in a minute, which is what makes it a set that gets used rather than one that lives in the hall cupboard.

Next to the XJD balance bike
When a child moves from a balance bike to a scooter or a kids car, the falls get faster. We would put this set in the same box as the bike: the pads feel soft and supportive, the helmet is sturdy, and nothing needs to be assembled with tools. A sensible gift within one budget.
